Rob Negus: Artist
Striving to find a point of balance between genius and absurdity, discovering boundaries and taking on challenges. Often finding an ingenious solution to a problem which probably shouldn't have existed in the first place. Giving a use to the useless, and making a point of 'pointlessness'.

Top image; 'Finding the limit' (2011) A nut and bolt painstakingly carved from a standard pencil lead. A sculptural response to a challenge which was influenced by the work of Dalton Getty.
Lower image; 'Fan, Can and Slope' (2010) A kinetic sculpture made from found and leftover materials, with the aim to produce something monotonous yet not precisely repetitive in its movement.
